| Obituary* | 1 Sep 1918 | Dessie O. Culpepper, April 18, 1914- August 29, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA- Dessie O. Culpepper 94 of Columbus died Friday August 29, 2008 at the Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 2, 2008 at McMullen Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Wiseman officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Miss Culpepper was born April 28, 1914 in Brantley, Al. daughter of the late John G. and Loure Davie Culpepper. She was a Industrial Nurse and later worked in private duty nursing, a former member of 13th Ave. Sanctified Church of Christ and attended the Macon Road Church of Nazarene and was preceded in death by her sister Leila Culpepper Miller. Survivors include her Brother in law; Luther O. Miller of Columbus, Ga., Nieces; Shirley Coppedge (Stan), Becky Willetts (Rudy), Mary Lou Norwood (Don) all of Columbus Ga., Elsie Stephens (Steve) of Alex City, Al., Joan Click (Fred) of Huntsville, AL., and Audrey Keener of Salem, AL., Nephews; Luther C. Miller, Sr. (Anne) of Smiths, AL., Lavon Culpepper (Leila), Wendell Culpepper (Sybil), Donnie Culpepper (Pat), Dan Culpepper (Flora) all of Columbus, Ga., Junior Culpepper of Salem, AL., Harold Culpepper (Nita) of Harris County, Ga. and Thomas Culpepper of Texas; Special care givers Georgia Bigelow and Selina Norwood and numerous great nieces and nephews.
