| Obituary | 24 Dec 2008 | Amory, Mississippi. William Clinton "Bill" Culpepper, 75, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory after a sudden illness. He was born October 22, 1933, in Mississippi to James David "Jim" and Beulah Bell Aston Culpepper. He lived in Houston, Mississippi and in the Parham Community of Monroe County for 44 years. He married Norene Fears on Dec 25, 1952. He was employed be Cramco and Fabrivalve before his retirement. He was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking, working with dogs and horses, and helping others. Services were Wednesday at the E. E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Ministers Marshall Eubanks Jr and Bobby Cleveland officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Norene Fears Culpepper of Amory; one son, Steve Culpepper of Amory; one brother, Bobert "Bob" Culpepper of Okolona, Mississippi; two sisters, Ruby Culpepper Gregory of Smithville, Mississippi and Elsie Culpepper Gregory of Pontotoc, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Julie Julian, Amy Powell, Kimberly Booth, Michael Culpepper and Christina Ruiz; and eight great-grand children, Mikayla Powell, Mckenna Powell, Gracie Culpepper, Ben Culpepper, Winter Forbus, Julianna Forbus, Kaley Forbus and Krisanna Forbus. He was preceded in death by hes parents; one son Michael Wayne Culpepper; two brothers, Milton Culpepper and James Culpepper; and two sisters, Earline Culpepper Russell and Mary Culpepper Collins. Pallbearers were Chase Surrell, Bill Tackett, Tony Drake, Robert Culpepper, Steve Young, Larry Collins, and W. H. Gregory. Honorary pallbearers were the elders and deacons of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to the Christian Chapel Church of Christ, 60127 Vaughn Road, Amory, MS 38821.3 |
