Tippecanoe County

History
In west central Indiana,
Tippecanoe County was formed in 1826 from the Wabash
New Purchase and from unorganized land. Its county seat, Lafayette, is on
I-65 about 65 miles northwest of
Indianapolis. Tippecanoe is bordered by the counties of
White, Carroll, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain, Warren and Benton.
